This was such a lovely destination wedding at the historic Mission Inn in Riverside, California. Ryan, the groom, is from Canada, so many of the guests traveled far to watch him marry the love of his life, Marie. Marie’s family is from the Philippines so this beautiful California destination was the perfect setting to watch their loved ones tie the knot!

I had had so much fun getting to know this couple. We had the best engagement session a few months back. You can check it out here.

So the wedding day was here. My husband Mark was my second shooter and it was an honor to also bring my amazing daughter Morgan, who is a very talented photographer. She took some amazing photos, adding to this incredible Mission Inn wedding. Check out her blog here. It is truly fantastic! The 3 of us truly documented this destination wedding, including every little detail and precious moment.

Speaking of details, this wedding could not have been possible without the help of Holly Chavez and her wonderful team from HMC Event Solutions. They work so hard to put the clients needs and desires into place. It is always such a pleasure to work with such professional people and I just love them all so much.

We arrived at The Mission Inn to photograph Marie and her bridesmaids. She had the best room in the house, The Amistad Room. The dome in this room is breathtaking with a gorgeous mural painted on the ceiling. The room offer a lovely way to begin your wedding day and is the perfect ending when used as the honeymoon suite.

Marie and Ryan decided that they wanted to do “First Look” Photos. They met in the Rotunda for a very intimate meeting and some romantic wedding day pictures. We stayed far back and gave this sweet couple privacy, and due to our professional cameras and lenses we were able to photograph all of the tenderness and love without being obtrusive. This is a key reason to hire professionals for your special day…

The wedding ceremony was held in the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel.

It is truly a breathtaking site for your eyes. When the doors opened up to Marie standing there with her parents, the guests all gasped with awws, it was beautiful.

The reception was located in the Music Room at the Mission Inn. The uplighting and table decor along with the gorgeous flowers made for an increbile evening.

It really has an honor to be part of this beautiful California Destination Wedding at The Historic Mission Inn in Riverside, California.

All of here at Michelle Johnson Photography wish Marie and Ryan the happiest marriage and we thank you for sharing your day with us.
